Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take overall charge of the management, planning and execution of stage technology work, including the technical coordination, personnel scheduling, budget formulation and safety management of the three core systems: stage machinery, lighting and audio. Serve as the chief technical person for all performances and events to ensure safe, efficient and precise technical support for relevant activities.
- Technical coordination & management: Review the technical proposals, drawings and budgets of all performances and events, and assess technical feasibility, safety and costs. Coordinate technical resources throughout the entire process of stage setup, lighting focusing, rehearsal, performance and strike.
- Team & safety leadership: Coordinate and oversee the external stage technical team of the Performance Venues; lead and manage all professional technical teams (mechanical, lighting, audio, stage management), formulate and strictly implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), adhere to the Safety First Principle, and take accountability for safe operation.
- External coordination: Serve as the chief technical contact, align technical needs with university user groups as well as the Technical Directors (TDs), directors and designers of visiting theatre companies, and provide professional support and advice.
- Budget & asset management: Formulate technology-related budgets and control operational and project costs. Be responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, renovation and procurement planning of all technical equipment, as well as the musical instruments and band supplies of the Performance Venues.
- Emergency response: Develop emergency plans for major technical failures, serve as the chief technical commander during performances and events, make rapid decisions, handle sudden technical accidents, and ensure the smooth progress of performances and events.
- Standardization development: Establish and maintain the technical archive repository of the Performance Venues, including equipment lists, system drawings, operation manuals, performance records and other relevant documents.
- Be responsible for the verification and supervision of the delivery and commissioning of stage facilities and equipment at the Performance Venues of the School of Music.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A full-time bachelor’s degree or above, with priority given to majors in Stage Technology Management, Stage Design and Production, Music and Performing Arts or other related fields.
- More than 10 years of experience in the management and execution of large-scale stage technology work, and proficient in the technical coordination of various stage systems including stage machinery, lighting, audio, video and stage art installations.
- Hold technical qualifications and certifications issued by professional institutions (e.g., Occupational Skill Appraisal by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, China Stage Designers Association, ETCP, etc.).
- Core Competencies:
- Technical decision-making: Possess the ability to conduct type selection and evaluation, cost control, safety specification formulation and maintenance planning for multi-million-yuan equipment.
- Crisis management: Proficient in the use of equipment hot redundant backup systems, have the ability to handle emergencies, and master the RAMS risk assessment method to reduce and avoid sudden failures and hidden dangers during performances.
- Artistic comprehension: Have a certain ability to appreciate music, literature and art; be able to translate stage design drawings, musical scores, performance scripts and other documents into technical instructions for performance equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility and good team spirit.
- Basic English proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing; capable of reading and understanding English technical documents and conducting basic English communication.
Salary and Benefits
Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-SZ and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.

- 团队与安全领导:负责对接,统筹管理演艺中心第三方舞台技术团队。领导和管理各专业技术团队(机械、灯光、音响、舞台监督),制定并严格执行安全操作规程(SOP),确保“安全第一”原则,对安全生产负责。
- 对外协调:作为技术总接口,与大学使用团体、来访剧团的技术总监(TD)、导演、设计师进行技术对接,明确需求并提供专业建议与支持。
- 预算与资产:编制技术相关预算,控制运营与项目成本。负责所有技术设备和演艺中心乐器、乐队用品资产的维护、保养、更新改造及采购规划。
- 应急处理:制定重大技术故障应急预案,并在演出/活动期间担任技术总指挥,快速决策,处理突发技术事故,保障演出/活动顺利进行。
- 标准化建设:建立并维护演艺中心技术档案库(包括设备清单、系统图纸、操作手册、演出档案等)。
- 负责核对、监督音乐学院演艺中心舞台设施设备交付及开办。
岗位要求:
- 全日制本科以上学历,舞台技术管理/舞美设计制作/音乐艺术表演等相关专业优先。
- 10年以上大型舞台技术管理与执行经验,熟悉多种舞台机械、灯光音响视频、舞美装置等舞台系统技术统筹工作。
- 取得专业机构颁发的技术资格认证(国家劳动部职业技能鉴定、中国舞美学会、ETCP等)。
- 核心能力:
- 技术决策:对于百万级设备具有选型评估、成本控制、安全规范及维护保养计划 制定等能力。
- 危机处置:熟悉设备热冗余备份的使用,具备处理突发事件的能力,掌握运用RAMS风险评估法来降低避免演出中的突发故障和隐患。
- 艺术理解:对于音乐、文学、艺术具有一定欣赏能力,通过阅读舞美图纸、演奏乐谱、演出脚本等,并转化为演出设备技术指令。
5. 具有良好的沟通交流能力、高度的责任心和团队合作精神。
6. 具备一定的英语听、说、读、写能力,能够阅读和理解英文技术文档,以及进行基本的英语沟通。
