Department of Education of Guangdong province has initiated Research Platforms of Guangdong Higher Education Institutes 2023. Details of application requirements are as follows:

1. Declaration category

 (1) Natural Science: Key Laboratory of Guangdong Higher Education Institute (including Key Laboratory in the field of integrated circuits, Joint Laboratory of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Higher Education Institutes), and Engineering Technology Research (Development) Center of Guangdong Higher Education Institute.

(2) Humanities and Social Science: Key Laboratory of Philosophy and Social Science of Guangdong Higher Education Institute, Key Research Base of Humanities and Social Science of Guangdong Higher Education Institute, and New Characteristic Think Tanks of Guangdong Higher Education Institute.

2. Quota requirements

(1) Key Laboratory in the field of integrated circuits, Joint Laboratory of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Higher Education Institutes, and Key Laboratory of Philosophy and Social Science of Guangdong Higher Education Institute can apply for one item each.

(2) Except (1),  one for natural science and one for humanities and social science can be declared.

3. Construction period and subsidy amount

Generally 3 years, self-financing is required.

4. Application conditions

Please refer to Annex 1 for the declaration guidelines and requirements.

5. Time and method of declaration

Online declaration (https://gdjyky.gdedu.gov.cn), the opening time for declaration is 9:00am on May 19, 2023. The application form can be downloaded and filled after the system is open. Applicants shall submit application forms online and feedback the summary form (Annex 2) to RAO by 3:00pm on Jun. 9, 2023.

※Teachers who do not have an account in the application system, please send an email to luoyan@cuhk.edu.cn to create an account before May 19, 2023.

6. Notes

(1) The project leader (including the main participants) shall undertake no more than 3 provincial financial support projects.

(2) The last page of the application form requires the project leader and research team members to sign and stamp. Please make sure that the version number on the signature and seal page is consistent with the online submission version.
