The Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong province has initiated the program application for international cooperation in science and technology 2022.?Details of application requirements are as follows:

1.Funding fields

The program set three themes (sci-tech cooperation, personnel training, international academic exchange) and aimed to promote the development of international science and technology innovation center of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

2.Funding amount and duration

Please refer Annex 1-Guide for more details.

3.Procedure of application

Applicants shall fill out application forms and upload needful supplementary documents(please refer Annex 2-list of attachments) online via the application system ( http://pro.gdstc.gd.gov.cn ), without having to submit any hard copies.

※ For applicants who have no login ID for application system, please send your name, academic title, email address, telephone number to kevingao@cuhk.edu.cn by Oct. 11, 2021 to open account.

4. Other requirements

A. For Theme One, Projects which possess high-quality sci-tech cooperation with key countries (please refer Annex 3-list of key countries)will be given priority to fund.

B. Application limit

? ?The total number of provincial technology projects a researcher undertakes as PI shall not exceed three;

?? For conclusion of provincial technology projects which exist the situation of one year overdue, the applicant shall not apply for this program;

?? The same project will not be funded twice.

C. Both application forms and proposals shall be written in Chinese.

D. Any requirements of relevant scientific research reviews, please refer to the CUHKSZ’s research review process of each committee as attached (Annex 4) and send the required materials and forms to each committee’s email for assessment by Dec. 3, 2021.

5. Deadline

a. Applicants shall upload relevant attachments and submit application forms online by 17:00 on Dec. 10, 2021, the RAO will review and feedback;

b. Applicants shall submit application forms (final version) online by 12:00 on Dec. 15, 2021, without submitting any hard copies.
