The Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong province has initiated the program application for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao cooperation in science and technology 2020~2021.?Details of application requirements are as follows:

1. Introduction

The program set two themes, including joint fund project of Guangdong-Macao science and technology innovation and project of research achievements derived from Hong Kong and Macao for transformation in Guangdong. The funding fields mainly contain information technology, biological medicine (includes traditional Chinese medicine), new materials, high-end equipment manufacturing, energy conservation and environmental protection, smart city, Marine science, etc.

2.Funding amount and duration

The duration of project is two years and the average funding intensity is about 1 million yuan per project.

3.Procedure of application

Applicants shall fill out application forms and upload needful supplementary documents(please refer Annex 2-attachments list) online via the application system ( http://pro.gdstc.gd.gov.cn ), without submitting any hard copies.

4. Other requirements

A. Applicants shall meet the assessment index requirements which listed in Annex 1-Guide when project conclusion.

B. For Theme One, applicants and cooperators from Macao shall apply for the project to the competent authorities of subordinate districts respectively. Unilateral application shall be invalid.

C. For Theme Two, applicants must be researchers from a university in Hong Kong and Macao which listed in Annex 3-list of universities in Hong Kong and Macau or form the public non-profit research institutions with independent legal personality based at Hong Kong and Macao.

D. Researchers in CUHK(SZ) shall only be as main participant to participate the project.

E. Application limit

? ?The total number of provincial technology projects a researcher undertakes as PI shall not exceed three;

?? For conclusion of provincial technology projects which exist the situation of one year overdue, the PI shall not apply for this program;

?? The same project will not be funded twice.

F. Both application forms and proposals shall be written in Chinese.

G. Applicants shall read the guide (Annex 1-Guide) carefully for more specific requirements.

5. Deadline

1.Applicants shall upload relevant attachments and submit application forms online by 18:00 on June 24, 2020, ?the RAO will review and feedback.

2. Applicants shall submit application forms (final version) online by 18:00 on June 29, 2020, without submitting any hard copies.
