Notification of Application for Guangdong Engineering Research Center 2025
Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission has initiated the application for Guangdong Engineering Research Center 2025. Details of application requirements are as follows:
1. Supporting Fields
The scope specified in the Guidance Catalog of Key Products and Services in Strategic Emerging Industries (see Annex 1) shall apply, with priority support accorded to fields including next-generation information technology, high-end equipment, new energy, advanced materials, aerospace, low-altitude economy, marine technology, quantum technology, biomanufacturing, hydrogen and nuclear fusion energy, brain-computer interfaces, embodied intelligence, and sixth-generation mobile communications.

2. Funding?&?Duration ?
No financial funding will be provided; self-financing is required.
Upon approval, the center shall enter a preparatory phase (typically not exceeding 3 years). Following successful acceptance, it will proceed to the official construction phase.

3. Application Requirements
3.1 Prepare a construction implementation plan outlining clear and feasible development strategies, construction goals, key tasks for research and development, engineering, and industrialization; standardized management and operational mechanisms; and necessary new fixed asset investments (including construction projects and newly purchased equipment).
3.2 Possess significant influence within the relevant industry, with a minimum of 50 R&D personnel in total, of which full-time R&D personnel should not be less than 30.
3.3 Possess R&D equipment with an original value of no less than 20 million yuan.
3.4 Maintain a dedicated R&D space of at least 2,000 square meters.
3.5 Have either led or participated in provincial-level or higher scientific research programs, and have either led or contributed to the development of industry standards.

4. Procedure of Application
4.1 In accordance with the requirements of the center (Annex 2), prepare the application report (Annex 6), application data form (Annex 3), summary form (Annex 4), the commitment letter (Annex 5) and relevant supporting documents.
4.2 Electronic and paper version materials (2 hard copies) should be submitted to RAO by?17:00 on November?25, 2025.

5. Notes
5.1 Two?applications?can be declared.
5.2 Funding for establishment and operation shall be primarily self-raised by the applicant and relevant cooperating units, supplemented by securing related research and development funds.
5.3 Joint applications with leading enterprises and research institutions in relevant fields to establish engineering centers are encouraged.
5.4 The center shall be?uniformly named as?Guangdong Engineering Research Center of XX.
5.5 Relevant data in the application materials must be accompanied by supporting documentation.
