The application for the ninth batch of Guangdong provincial manufacturing innovation center construction has been initiated, and the relevant requirements are as follows:

1. Supporting Fields

Strategic Clusters: 20 strategic clusters and 5 future clusters.

Priority Fields: Digital creativity, blockchain, and quantum information (fields not yet covered by strategic industries), as well as key areas such as artificial intelligence and robotics, biomanufacturing, and chemical new materials.

2. Duration & Funding

2.1 It approved, the center will be included in the provincial manufacturing innovation center preparation plan, the applicant shall establish the legal entity company for the provincial manufacturing innovation center within two years. Then the center will enter the construction period.

2.2 During the preparation period, no funding support is provided. During the construction period, the center may apply to be included in the Shenzhen Manufacturing Innovation Center Support Program, but the amount of funding is not fixed.

3. Application Requirements

3.1 Possess the ability to integrate research, industry, and academic resources, with strong capabilities in technology transfer, diffusion, and commercialization of research outcomes.

3.2 Have a well-established research and development platform, advanced scientific research infrastructure, state-of-the-art instruments, and high-level R&D talent to support technological innovation.

3.3 Have a clear and well-defined construction plan.

3.4 The center's capital contribution (registered capital) must be no less than RMB 30,000,000 in principle.

4. Application Process

4.1 Complete the Application Form for the Construction of Guangdong Provincial Manufacturing Innovation Centers (Annex 1) and the Summary Table (Annex 3).

4.2 The application form (in five copies), bound together and signed, along with the summary table (in one copy), must be submitted to RAO by 15:00 on May 15, 2025. Additionally, the electronic version (in one copy, including the electronic version of the application materials and the summary table) should be sent to luoyan@cuhk.edu.cn.

4.3 The Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality will conduct an initial review of the application materials and recommend outstanding candidates to the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province.
